Now that Prop 50 is taking hold with newly redrawn districts, there is new infighting over less Republican seats.
I am a bit in shock. First Kevin Kiley shreds his Republican colors to become an Independent and then decides to jump districts from his CD03 to challenge Tom McClintock in neighboring CD05 – I have supported Tom for years. I will NOT support Kiley in this fight.
CD05 (Gold Country foothills) - Tom McClintock - R - Long term reliable conservative. Being challenged by CD03 Kevin Kiley (recently declared as an Independent, and no longer Republican).
Likewise, the fight is erupting in CD40. Being eased out of a seat in CD41 by Prop 50, Ken Calvert is looking to take over Kim’s neighboring CD40 district.
